The meticulous effort behind the Restoration Edition text is attributed to a dedicated committee of volunteers who invested numerous hours in compiling a precise collection of scriptures dating back to the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, spearheaded in the early 1800s by Joseph Smith, Jr.

It is important to note that the compilation committee for the Restoration Edition, alongside the app developers, maintain full independence from any affiliation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or any other religious institution. This initiative primarily serves a coalition of believers in the Doctrine of Christ.

The current release presents the March 2017 edition of the text; however, ongoing edits are being carried out. A future update is anticipated upon finalization of the print edition by the scriptures committee, incorporating all revisions made post-March 2017.
